Festival at the Edge

16th to 18th July 2010

Festival at the Edge is the largest and oldest storytelling event in the country.

The festival takes place from 16-18 July at Stokes Barn on Wenlock Edge, just outside Much Wenlock.

In addition to international storytellers, there will be music, comedy, workshops and plenty of entertainment for children.

Among the highlights of this year’s festival is a new commission from storyteller Michael Harvey, featuring his son Fred Harvey-Love on bass guitar.

Festival Director Sue Chand said the top storytelling acts to see include Len Cabral (USA), Taffy Thomas, Peter Chand, Clare Muireann Murphy (Ireland), Shonaleigh, Kasper Sorensen (Denmark), Daniel Morden, Katrice Horsley, Michael Harvey, and Nick Hennessey.

The musical acts include Belshazzar’s Feast, Fernhill, Sam Lee and the Gillie Boys, Pete Morton, Kerfuffle, Flossie Malavialle, and The Queensberry Rules.
