Eve’s Three Beautiful Daughters – Totnes
6pm Friday to 1.30pm Sunday
This September, South Devon Storytellers are excited to be hosting a unique weekend of storytelling with tradition bearer, storyteller and Drut’syla Shonaleigh.
Venue: Regenworks, The Granary, Dartington Hall, Totnes, TQ9 6EL
Over the course of a weekend, Shonaleigh will be telling tales of “Eve’s Three Beautiful Daughters.”
We will learn about the treasure of herbs that Eve brought out from paradise, and the adventures of her three daughters as they carry this knowledge out into the world.
Shonaleigh is one of Europe’s leading storytellers. She holds the Drut’syla tradition – a living unbroken oral tradition passed down from grandmother to granddaughter. Having learned the Drut’syla tradition from the age of four, she carries about 4000 oral stories from the Jewish tradition and shares their magic, mystery and wisdom with audiences around the world.
An evening in Shonaleigh’s company is always extraordinarily memorable and this weekend will be no exception.
Stories will begin on the Friday evening, shared throughout Saturday and finish on Sunday afternoon. Shonaleigh will be telling these ancient stories from the cycle of Hillel at Regenworks in Dartington.
