Stories for Learning in European Schools
(2013 ~ 2015)

The TALES project investigated the educational impact of oral and digital storytelling in formal education.

It involved 8 partners – teacher trainers, story tellers and digital experts – from 7 countries across Europe.The project’s activities and outcomes included a state of the art about digital storytelling, documentation on examples of good practice and pilot studies, “stories” created by schools (age range 6-18) and, most importantly, a manual for teachers.

The Caisson Project (2009)

The whole idea of a box of stories started with the Todmorden Touchwood project.

As the Touchwood project progressed we were told that there was not enough funding for a story-cabinet as well, so we had to put the idea on ice for several months.

 The Beacons Project (2007 ~ 2010)

The Beacons project brought together representatives from Sheffield City Council’s Parks and Countryside, Community Foresters, Art in the Park with renowned story teller Shonaleigh working with local school children to create the central story of ‘The Firebird’.
